About CSF
Established in 2012, Central Square Foundation (CSF) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing the learning outcomes of all school-going children across India
through system-led reforms. As a catalytic enabler, our initiatives span innovation and
policy to practice and focus on learning impact at scale across 14 states. At the heart of
our mission is our strategic focus on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), which
drives our collaborative efforts with 11 state governments to design and execute statewide FLN missions. Additionally, we prioritise EdTech integration, aiming to deploy digital solutions for in-class and at-home learning and establish evidence-based practices while also tapping into the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to augment learning outcomes. We are deeply committed to Early Childhood Education (ECE) reforms, recognising the critical role it plays in laying a strong groundwork for children’s learning journey, thereby augmenting FLN outcomes. We also work in the area of School Governance, extending our system-level approach to children in both private and government schools, to strengthen the country’s education landscape.
Position Summary
The Project Manager (Comms) will be an intrinsic part of the Policy & Communications team at CSF. He/ she will be responsible for shaping the content pipeline of the organisation, and executing tasks based on the overall digital strategy, focussing on growth and sustainability of digital platforms including our website, social media platforms. He/she will be actively participating in ideating and executing tasks related to showcasing CSF’s FOUR major impact areas: Foundational Learning (FLN; Education Technology (EdTech); Early Childhood Education (ECE) and School Governance through innovative approaches and tactics.
The PM will support other members of the Comms. team with as and where required to advance these goals. We are looking for someone with a strong creative approach towards complex problems, strong writing skills, and ability to juggle multiple timelines effortlessly. Additionally, he/she will be responsible for having a firm grasp and interest in measuring, through Monitoring & Analytics for all content related activities. The candidate will report to the Senior Project Lead, in the Policy & Communications Team.
On a day-to-day basis, he/she will work closely with the SPL to support the team on various activities like social media, website, content gathering, writing and support with execution of events.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Content Generation
- Support in scripting and developing new, high quality content for the website and digital social media platforms in the form of success stories/ case studies/ human interest stories from CSF’s on-ground projects in Focus and Strategic States for its interventions.
- Coming up with new content ideas and pieces that can be cross-pollinated across platforms.
- Support the PL Comms in maintaining a robust documentation framework and shaping the content management strategy for CSF.
- Support the creation and execution of CSF-led content brand properties for social media with thorough reporting and metrics on performance and outputs.
- Social Media
- Good working knowledge of all the latest social media trends and tactics on platforms such as Instagram & YouTube.
- Support with the ideation, planning of social media daily posting with copies, exclusive campaigns around CSF FOUR focus areas: FLN, EdTech, ECE, School Governance etc.
- Support in curating and planning exclusive online events and coordinating with internal Project teams.
- Liaise and support the Comms team in monitoring digital performance of CSF channels on a monthly basis.
- Supporting in running and monitoring paid marketing for high stakes projects like Campaigns with a sharp emphasis on M&E for all digital activations.
- Support with conducting monthly social media performance reports including a landscaping of competitor performance across social media platforms.
- Website
- Working on ensuring that the website reflects high-quality standards in alignment with the brand and content material.
- Ideate and innovate strategies to increase website traffic, reduce bounce and exit rate.
- Monitor monthly website performance and capture in the form of a report.
- Lead development and maintenance of CSF website; this includes regular content updation on website pages.
- Ensuring regular stream of Visitors to Pages on the website ensuring Monthly website Page Visits of approximately 12k-15K.
- PR & Media
- Drafting press releases, briefing notes for the Media and pitch notes.
- Identify opportunities for media activities and/ or media partnerships around campaigns and important external and internal events.
- Facilitate Media interactions and respond actively to media interest/ queries.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Support with research to facilitate the development of appropriate messaging and collaterals, aimed at raising awareness and enhancing visibility of CSF’s key thematic areas at the national, state and district levels.
- Support the team in developing tools and practices which continuously strengthen PAC’s efforts and effectiveness.
- Manage relationships with consultants/ vendors/ partners; design strategies, roadmaps and timelines for effective engagements.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
- Graduate degree in Mass Communications/Journalism/ English/ Advertising and PR.
- At least 2-3 years of work experience in a similar role or a wider Marketing and Communications function.
- Interest in working on education reforms/ school education sector.
- Working knowledge and deep interest in the latest social media engagement trends.
- Strong ability in research, analysis and drafting long-format content.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Hindi, with the ability to translate back-and-forth as and when required.
- Keen interest in the development sector, policy and politics and current affairs.
- Ability to work both independently, or as part of a team, and a go-getter/ enterprising attitude towards assigned tasks.
- Understanding of data analysis and website traffic measurement skills.
Desired Qualities
- Working knowledge of working on graphic designing software like Canva/ Photoshop to make social media creatives & digital collaterals.
- Basic knowledge and skills in video editing are a bonus.
- Creative and analytical thinking. Agile and quick in grasping new concepts with the ability to clearly articulate creative ideas.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong ‘bias to action’ attitude.
- Planning and organisational skills, and an ability to be able to set priorities.
- Ability to work proactively, with little supervision.

Compensation
Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy pay scales and depend upon the candidate’s experience levels.
